Ava Nouri-Mahdavi

Ava is doing her first year college in UC – Berkeley and member of FEED at Berkeley. She received the Calabasas High School Golden Coyote Award three years in a row in high school for doing over 100 hours of community service every year. She has extensive experience in volunteering, from being an active member and eventually President of the Calabasas High Students for Equal Rights Foundation that focuses on raising money for the Agni Raksha Burn Clinic in India, to being a Lead Teen Volunteer at the Calabasas City Library and volunteering at their Summer Reading Program and Calabasas Fun Fair. She was the Vice President of her high school’s Associated Student Body, the Vice President of the West Valley Youth and Government delegation, and also co-founder of  a suicide prevention club at Calabasas High school.

She was also heavily involved with running and volunteering at a free tutoring program at the Calabasas Library called Study Buddies and has volunteered for various organizations with the Youth and Government delegation and Girl Scout troop, such as beach cleanups with Heal the Bay and distributing food with SOVA.
